Kim and I just returned from a short Boston vacation in which we were able to visit seven of the top 100 restaurants in the area. We hit up Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (recently opened out of Old City Hall), Jer-ne, Spire, Troquet (featured to the left), the hidden away Davide Ristorante, Seasons, and Meritage. We also got to partake in some great local attractions, such as walking the Freedom Trail, seeing the Blue Man Group, catching some 3D films at the Simons IMAX Theatre, and checking out the penguins at the New England Aquarium. It seems like most locals take this stuff for granted, so it was nice to see what Boston offers from a tourists' point of view. Plus, neither Kim or I had ever walked the Freedom Trail or been on the USS Constitution. As far as the meals, we thoroughly enjoyed Davide, a North End gem serving up classical Italian fare. We also loved Troquet, with its modern decor, fantastic view, and appetizing entrees. Check out the Top 100 for updated reviews in the coming days.
