Kim attended Turner Fisheries for a work function on Thursday night. As one might guess, Turner is a seafood restaurant specializing in New England flavors. The restaurant is conveniently located in the Westin Copley Place Hotel in the heart of Back Bay. The general assessment was that the atmosphere was very cool, and the service and the food was pretty good (but not outstanding). Accordingly, Turner Fisheries fell just outside the top 100.

This weekend brought us to Oishii Boston - a new upscale sushi establishment from the chefs at Oishi Sushi Bar in Chestnut Hill. The dining room give off a very cool and welcoming vibe, and the service matched. I enjoyed several of the sushi options off of the a la carte menu - some of the best I ever tried. However, Kim really did not like her Chicken Terriyaki entree - there was not enough meat, and what was there was dark and fatty. Overall though, I enjoyed it and I've heard good things from other sushi "experts", which I do not purport to be. This is the place to be as for upscale sushi in Boston right now.

On Saturday night we header over to Stella. It was jam-packed, and we quickly learned why. The food was truly outstanding, and the service, prices, and ambiance were also fantastic. Our great experience coupled with some excellent reviews we've been getting pushed Stella all the way up to debut at #12 on the top 100 list. If you're looking for a great Italian meal at an inexpensive price, you might want to bypass the North End for the South End and head on over to Stella.
