We had a nice getaway to Cape Cod this past weekend. We stayed at the Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster and we were very impressed. On Friday night, we headed over to the Chatham Bars Inn Dining Room for our anniversary - the CBI is regarded as one of the finest hotels in all of New England. The Inn serves up traditional American fare with a New England touch. We both ordered our favorite meals - I opted for a two pound lobster and Kim went for the Filet Mignon. We started with a Beat Salad and Shrimp Cocktail. Everything was beyond outstanding, including the wines we selected from the impressive list, the service, and the live piano music. However, the desserts actually were just mediocre. The price was high, but worth it for one of the best meals we have had in a while.
