We took a mini-vacation down to New York City for Thanksgiving Weekend and hit up some outstanding restaurants. Restaurant Daniel, while the most expensive establishment we have ever dined at, pleased with its lush ambiance, excellent service, and fantastic French fare. A very posh spot to say the least. On Saturday, we hit up Camino Sur before catching a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. Camino Sur serves up South American cuisine in a funky and modern setting. If you're ever in NYC, we recommend giving this place a try, and definitely order the Arepa con Quesito - which is basically a pancake fritter layered with sweet cheese. The service at Camino Sur was also great. On Sunday we headed over to Spice Market, which is famous restauranteer Jean Georges Vongerichten's take on Pan-Asian dining. The flavors were undoubtedly exotic, the atmosphere was upbeat and hip, and the service was friendly. A pleasing meal all around, someplace where out-of-towners may want to go to experience some new flavors.
